Historical Context
The 1895 Morgan Dollar is a highly sought-after key date in the series. No business strike Morgan Dollars were officially reported by the Philadelphia Mint for this year; all known examples are proof strikes. Its extremely low mintage of 880 pieces makes it one of the rarest and most valuable coins in the Morgan Dollar series.
