Historical Context
The Peace Dollar was minted to commemorate the end of World War I. The 1921 issue is notable for its high relief design, which was difficult to strike and led to a lower relief design being adopted from 1922 onwards. This makes the 1921 Peace Dollar distinct and highly sought after by collectors.
