Historical Context
Issued to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. All Bicentennial coins (quarter, half dollar, and dollar) feature the dual date '1776-1976' and special reverse designs. The Bicentennial Quarter was released into circulation starting in 1975 and was the only quarter design produced in 1975 and 1976.
